NIS-Elements series
Nikon’s new NIS-Elements series of microscopic image processing software is a comprehensive image software platform developed by Nikon for microscope control, microscopic image capture, document data management and some subsequent analysis and processing. The supported hardware is Nikon's DS series digital camera. The software uses a combination of functional modules to select the software package, which is especially suitable for individualized choices of different departments and customers with different needs in the industrial field.
•NIS Elements F software
NIS Elements F is free software that can be used for microscopic photography.
•NIS Elements D software
As the standard software for image processing software in Nikon's industrial field, NIS Elements D software provides a series of operating functions from microscope control, microscopic image acquisition, to simple geometric measurement, document management, and report production. The simple geometric measurement functions mainly include: the distance between two points, the distance from a point to a straight line, an angle, a center distance, etc., which can meet the needs of ordinary industrial inspection and simple image measurement. The standard software also provides functions such as puzzles, brightness and color separation diagram display, time-lapse photography control, and simple database. Optional functions include: depth of field synthesis, shape (perimeter, area, etc.) automatic measurement, pixel classification, database enhancement management and other functions.

•NIS Elements metallographic analysis software
Taking into account the needs of customers in the heat treatment industry, metal technology and metal materials science, Nikon has made continuous efforts to add metallographic analysis functions (optional) on the basis of NIS Elements D software.
The added metallographic analysis functions mainly include grain size analysis and cast iron structure analysis, supporting the judgment of Japanese standards and American standards.

It can detect the grain size of metallographic structures such as fat granules and pleloids. Support multi-field detection.
