Why is the mounting effect of a metallographic hot mounting machine not good?

Poor mounting effects of the metallographic hot mounting machine may be caused by various reasons.
First is improper temperature control; if the temperature is too low, the mounting material cannot melt sufficiently and cannot fill the gap between the mold and the sample well, resulting in loose mounting; if the temperature is too high, the mounting material may decompose and deteriorate, affecting the mounting quality.
Second is insufficient pressure; inadequate pressure will cause poor bonding between the mounting material and the sample, leading to internal voids.
Third is mold issues; inappropriate mold sizes or wear and deformation will result in inaccurate dimensions and irregular shapes of the mounted samples.
Fourth is the quality problem of the mounting material; for example, if the mounting material is expired, damp, or fails to meet quality standards, its performance will be affected, leading to poor mounting effects.
In addition, improper operation, such as incorrect sample placement or incomplete vacuuming, will also affect the mounting effect. Through troubleshooting and adjustment, the mounting effect can be improved to form qualified mounting blocks with a height of about 20mm and a diameter of about 30mm.

Kunshan Fuze Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. can help users analyze the causes of poor mounting effects and provide solutions.
