Nakazawa Company's Rockwell hardness testers come in two types, which are the analog (pointer) Rockwell hardness tester and the digital display electric Rockwell hardness tester.
The analog Rockwell hardness tester requires manual loading of the initial test force and main test force. The operation steps include the contact between the indenter and the sample, the large pointer rotating three times, and manually pressing the start button, then it will automatically load and unload. Check the pointer for the reading, and the resolution is 0.5HR.
The electric Rockwell hardness tester features automatic loading, automatic dwell, and automatic unloading functions. The operation steps include the contact between the indenter and the sample, and turning to SET will trigger automatic loading, automatic dwell, and automatic unloading. Check the display for the reading, and the resolution is 0.1HR.
